Visiting the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health

From 10 August and until 9 October I am visiting professor Lara Boyd and her Brain Behavior Laboratory, a part of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health.

I am very much looking forward to my stay here. Below I have listed the initial brainstorm of thing to do while at the lab, as I am here to explore and be inspired. No specific method planned. I will try to write up a little something on the most interesting parts.

Learn about online cognitive assesment - is it valid?
Ideas for setting up a workflow for automated MR scan assessments using the free and open source ADS tool(Liu et al. 2021) - this specific tool is not in use, but the group uses other similar tools.
Follow the most interesting projects and enjoy this opportunity to explore
Write midterm evaluation for AU
Prepare for oral presentation at the World Stroke Congress, abstract title is “Persistent low physical activity after stroke and risk of new vascular event or death” - I’ll be sharing more on this later.

Meet with Brian MacVicar and have a tour at his lab - their research focuses on glia cells
Meet Timothy Murphy in his lab and get a tour to hear about their research on structure-function of brain circuits in relation to stroke
